Greens launch new website
You will notice some changes at www.merewethercarlton.com.au with the Greens launching a new website today. The new website is a continuation of the Club's success on the field with the new site walloping any other sites in Newcastle and Hunter Rugby
Some new things that you see on this site are the addition of an online version of the Green Book (as well as our major sponsors). The Green Book is published each year and provides contact details for businesses that support the Club.
Other new features include:
- You can now leave comments on most articles (including this one). Please note all comments are moderated
- There is a new Club blog.
- We are working to publish more historical information such as the Club and Club history.
- We have setup social networking links to make it easier to connect and share with the Club (i.e. for the people that never log out of Facebook)
- Members can now register on this site and publish their own content. This includes creating blog posts, match reports, news articles, uploading photo galleries or creating a social profile.
As well as the above these features will be coming soon:
- A new shop with online purchase of merchandise using a credit card
- Official Profile and Bio of players
- Online RSVP and payments for Greens events
- Polls and surveys of supporters and members
- Online copies and emailing of the Green Times newsletter (you can already register for the newsletter on this site)
- Uploading of training and game day video highlights
This Club is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and supporters. You can help the Club by registering on this site and contributing content and photos. Green corner can get fairly vocal on a Saturday with certain people 'calling' the game. It would be good if we could see some of this passion and support to translate into match reviews or blog posts on Sunday. The same goes for Old Boys that may have memorabilia or a motivational story about past victories (or defeats) that they would like to share. If you do know an Old Boy please mention this to them and guide them through the internerd to this site (or get the content and contact the webmaster).
