Merewether Carlton Events

Grand final Warm-up 17-Sep-10

Friday 17 September from 5pm at the Merewether Bowling Club. All past and current players and officials are encouraged to turn up for an informal (no speeches) Grand Final ‘Warm-up’ and to relive and replay of past epics.

Players involved in Grand Finals are welcome to come and meet, and have a yarn with the Greens’ ‘Yesterday’s Heroes’. (Hopefully all Premier teams will be playing in GFs the next day).

BBQ will be provided, there will be a small charge to cover costs.

The Greens will be hosting the Newcastle and Hunter Rugby Union Major Semi-Final at Townson Oval, Merewether on Saturday the 4th of September . Merwether Carlton will feature in the two top games so please get along to the game and support your local team. Games start at 10:45am with the main game starting at 3:00pm. The games for the day include:

The Greens will be holding there 80th Anniversary Celebration Ball on the 21st of August 2010 at the Newcastle Jockey Club

Tickets: $110.00 per person. Limited to 300. Souvenir wine glass included in the price.
Dress: Coat and Tie
Venue: Chevals at the NJC
Date: 21st August 2010
Start: 7 o’clock for 12 o’clock finish
Food: Canapés on arrival, sit down main and chefs dessert plate

The greens will be hosting their presidents lunch on the 23rd of July 2010 from 12:30pm at the Mary Ellen Hotel. Tickets are $100 which includes a 2 course meal, cheese platters, beer, wine and soft drinks. Players, partners, supporters and friends are all welcome. The guest speaker for the event is Peter Grigg.

Pre-Season Training 6-Jan-10

Greens Pre-Season training is on again at 6:00pm every Wednesday starting the 6th January 2010 at Empire Park. Starting February we will increase to Monday and Wednesday nights and when the touch comp is over revert to Tuesday and Thursday nights. All new players are welcome.
