Cscan

Cscan is a comprehensive independent radiology clinic based in Charlestown, NSW. It is owned and run by Dr Rauf Yousaf. Rauf is a Scottish medical graduate who gained his radiology subspecialty training in London and then New Zealand. He moved to Australia two years ago and worked in Canberra, imaging some of Australia's top athletes and sports teams. Despite the great job, the lure of the sea proved too much and Rauf moved to Newcastle with his wife and three children in 2009.

Rauf's main interests are in musculoskeletal and sports imaging, neuro-radiology and body imaging. He also offers all manner of joint and pain relief injections under imaging guidance. Cscan has world class radiology equipment installed along with some of the best technical staff in the region working there. In addition the patient and staff amenities are superb, with modern fresh lobby areas, a staff gym, kids play areas and a breast feeding room amongst the many facilities on offer.

Cscan offers a walk in or appointment service for all plain x-rays. For specialist scans such as MRI, CT or ultrasound, call in to the clinic at 95 Pacific Highway, Charlestown, or ring 02 4920 8555 to make an appointment. Most examinations are bulk billed, and if not medicare eligible then very compassionately priced. All radiology results are available within 24 hours, but if urgent then even within the hour on request.
